I’m sure you’ve noticed, Halloween stuff is everywhere already! Just this weekend, I saw a bunch of lawn decorations at Lowes! They have the super huge air ones, in case you are looking… And of course Joann’s and Michaels are stocked with the seasonal decor.
Spirit Halloween is opening soon, any day now! That’s pretty fun!
But where can you go to find a selection beyond your typical Halloween aisle at your local supermarket?
I just did some of my unexpected halloween shopping at Hobby Lobby! They do have a Halloween section but it’s lack luster. What I’m obsessed with is their wide variety of glass and iron. They have all kinds of neat glass jars and stained bottles. I found quite a few to inspire a new mantle display this year and I truly can’t wait for it to all come together!
Joe just paid a visit to Gothic City Antiques last week and although it sounds like a great Halloween source, he found otherwise. He said they have sweet gargoyles but way too pricey. Other than that, it would take a lot of creativity to develop some scary crafts out of their merch! So if you are down for a challenge, check it out!
If anyone has any other surprising hot spots, let me know! I’d love to find some unexpected decor!

Ok, this is late, but Niagara Falls’ very own Rapids Theatre was on Ghost Hunters last night!!!
And guess what?
It’s HAUNTED!!!
It was a really fantastic show and it really is haunted! I recorded it on my dvr if any of you missed it! Or you can watch it on syfy.com sometime in the near future…
I learned that an actress hung herself there and now haunts the theatre!
Another awesome place that Ghost Hunters has been – AND is also HAUNTED!
